Community Talks |
We aim to change perceptions and promote a positive understanding of Down’s Syndrome within the communities we live in.
Over the years we have been invited to speak at various community groups where we have shared the experience of our families and what it is like to live with Down’s Syndrome today. As a result we are keen to promote positive discussion and have a very open approach to these talks. |
Midwives PresentationsWe have also been invited to speak to Student Midwives at Swansea University for the past 3 years and more recently at the Royal College of Midwives along with Julian Hallett from the Down's Syndrome Association. During these candid sessions we have shared our stories of receiving a diagnosis of Down’s Syndrome and what we think can help provide a positive experience to new families who are welcoming a child with Down’s Syndrome into the world.
